Arthur Branch, of Yonkers, has been sentenced to a term of between 12 years to life in prison after pleading guilty to a felony count of second-degree armed robbery for an incident in 2016 at Mount Vernon Matro-North station.
At approximately 11 p.m. on Sept. 9, 2016, Branch pleaded guilty to approaching two women at the Mount Vernon East Metro-North station, wielding a box cutter and demanding their money and cell phones. Branch threatened to slash their faces if they did not comply and he forcibly took a smartphone from each of the victims and money from one of them before fleeing the scene. Branch was arrested on Dec. 1, 2016, by MTA police investigators.
